This artwork reflects on fragile moments that create space for observing and redefining vulnerability more intimately. Like a small caterpillar living, resting, and finding shelter amidst grass—both the caterpillar and the grass are often perceived as fragile in the face of larger forces or their predators.

This imagery leads to a reflective question: does the layered hierarchy of vulnerability imply that beings at the bottom of the ladder must always “sacrifice” themselves for those at the top? When we bring this into a daily context, what can we deconstruct to fully understand systemic vulnerability?
