“Feet swing beyond the ground, while hands spread wide in the boundless sky. The farther one dreams, the closer those dreams seem to the grasp. But for those who walk upon the earth, what remains are provisions to dream once more”.

'Jauh tak Berantara' is an embroidery that intertwines visual storytelling with a poem written by me when I am feeling detached from myself. The piece delves into the intimate struggle of feeling distant from surroundings, weighed down by the insecurity and inferiority bred by the unattainable standards capitalism imposes on women.

Personally, this artwork might be a medium for me to unravel and embody the tension between soaring dreams and the "grounding" weight of societal expectations.  Reflecting on a cyclical journey of longing, doubting, and daring to strive; celebrating the courage to dream anew.
